                                                          Splendor in the Grass / William Wordsworth
                                                          from Ode: Intimations of Immortality from Recollections of Early Childhood
                                                         What though the radiance which was once so bright
                                                         Be now for ever taken from my sight,
                                                         Though nothing can bring back the hour
                                                         Of splendor in the grass, of glory in the flower
                                                         We will grieve not, rather find
                                                         Strength in what remains behind;
                                                         In the primal sympathy
                                                         Which having been must ever be;
                                                         In the soothing thoughts that spring
                                                         Out of human suffering;
                                                         In the faith that looks through death,
                                                         In years that bring the philosophic mind.

                                                        지금까지 있었고 앞으로도 영원이 있을
                                                        본원적인 공감에서
                                                        인간의 고통으로부터 솟아나
                                                        마음을 달래주는 생각에서
                                                        죽음  너머를 보는 신앙에서
                                                        그리고 지혜로운 정신을 가져다 주는 세월에서.
