1.  For your information, this application is for our contract No. 1 which     has been covered by L/C No.c856 issued by the China bangking corp.     Manila,in our fabour for US$ 2,031 with expiry date the 31th August.   2.  We hope you will be good enough to give to the bearer of this letter      your contract note and one copy of our application with your signature     as usual.   3.  We have the pleasure of acknowledging your cable of the 30th June      requesting us to make a firm offer on our cotton fishing nets and now      confirm having cabled you as follows.                our cable June 1st.                            Yc 30 9.51 10.35 13.02 CABLE NUMTRA.   4.  We note with much regret from your cable of the 30th June that our     price were not low enough to meet your  requirements. but the above     revised are the best prices we can make at present and the high quality     of our goods can not be maintained at lower prices.   5.  In fact our revised prices barely cover the cost of production and then     we shall not be able to make any further shading of prices in spite of     our eargerness to materialize an initial business.
